WHAT HAPPENS WHEN JESUS GOES TO PRISON?

Freedom in the Son volunteers know the answer.

In a culture where women are being jailed at a much faster rate than ever before.

F.I.T.S. "She Fits" is an outreach where women mentor women residents and their children. We also serve women making the difficult transtition from prison back to their communities.

F.I.T.S. is a non-profit, tax exempt corporation serving internationally and at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Wilsonville, Oregon.

F.I.T.S. HOME

F.I.T.S. helps support a home for newly released women in Keizer, Oregon. A beautiful four-bedroom house was made available as, currently, the only Christian based transitional home for women in Marion County. Residents are required to support themselves and pay one-fourth of the rent, in addition to consistent attendance at weekly Bible studies and bi-weekly support group meetings.

Women in Prison

Weekly Bible Studies in 3 different locations of Coffee Creek Correctional Facility every Wednesday night.

Mentoring involves volunteers who commit to guide a woman who is soon to be released in 6 months and then assist her while she is in transition for another 6 months outside. The success rate is 90% of women who never return to prison when mentored.
